Top 5 Takeaways from RE+

As we strive to be leaders in the California renewable energy space, we are committed to continuously learning, growing, and innovating. One way we keep this commitment is by attending RE+, one of the leading renewable energy events in North America.

Last week, we attended RE+ to sharpen our knowledge, connect with old industry partners & new, and hone our future vision.

Here are the 5 game-changing insights you need to know:

1. Module power classes are increasing

The trend of increasing power per panel continues. But, what does this mean for you? More power per panel = less space needed for the same amount of energy generated (increasing power density). For ground systems, this means you won’t have to give up as much of your land. For roof systems, we’re maximizing the use of your space. Fewer panels, more energy.

2. Inverter efficiency rates are up to 99%

Inverter efficiency has never been higher. This higher inverter efficiency will maximize your overall system performance AND lower your costs. Bottom line: more of your energy will be effectively converted into usable power.

3. Energy storage is easier and more affordable than ever

Storage just keeps getting better and better. Technology is advancing, costs are decreasing, and now we have game-changing insights on the best ways to deploy storage on new and existing solar projects. Solar + storage will now be themosteffective method for reducing and managing energy costs. Plus, stay tuned for future newsletters to learn more about the benefits of onsite energy management with storage.

4. Racking design & technology is streamlined

Racking systems also continue to see revolutionary advancements. Technology is more efficient and streamlined, which meansfaster installations and lower costsfor you. With an array of versatile new options, we have more flexibility to make your project work in nearly all environments and/or space constraints.

5. Re-power projects are becoming more cost effective

If you have an aging solar system, you know that eventually you may need to replace modules and/or inverters to restore power output to day-1 efficiency. As technology advances, re-powering your system is becoming more and more cost effective. Plus, low-cost recycling solutions are available to ease the burden of panel/inverter disposal and ensure we’re all doing our part to maximize sustainability.

Since inception, we have been committed to driving innovation and growth in the solar space. As JKB Energy approaches 20 years of successfully installing solar projects, this year’s RE+ event was the perfect moment to look back and appreciate how we, and the industry, have evolved.

While technology keeps changing, one thing will always remain consistent – our passion for building long-standing relationships with valued industry partners and clients like you. Here’s to continuing our journey for a brighter, more efficient solar future!
